Before any payment, the buyer must message the seller on WhatsApp to:

• Confirm the item is still available

• Ask for extra pictures or videos

• Discuss pricing or negotiation

• Confirm pickup or delivery options

This helps avoid wasted time and filters unserious buyers.

 

💳 2. Buyer Chooses How to Pay

After confirming the item, the buyer can choose one of two options:

A. Pay Seller Directly

This is between buyer and seller, without Zanky’s involvement.

B. Pay with Zanky Escrow

(Recommended for Items Above ₦100,000)

Zanky Escrow provides an extra layer of safety:

• Protects buyers from fraud

• Protects sellers from fake alerts

• Ensures money only moves when both parties meet the conditions

Buyers are strongly advised to use Escrow for expensive items.

 

🛡️ 3. How Zanky Escrow Payment Works (Full Details)

 

1️⃣ Step 1 — Buyer taps “Pay with Escrow”

When the buyer clicks Escrow on a product card, WhatsApp automatically opens and sends our team:

• Product name

• Price

• Category

• Seller’s WhatsApp number

• Buyer’s details

 

2️⃣ Step 2 — Zanky Escrow Sends Secure Payment Instructions

We immediately send the buyer the correct account details and instructions.
They pay Zanky Escrow — not the seller directly.

 

3️⃣ Step 3 — Buyer Sends Proof of Payment

Once payment is made, the buyer sends evidence (screenshot or receipt).
We verify it to protect the seller from fake bank alerts.

 

4️⃣ Step 4 — Seller Is Informed to Release the Item

After confirming payment is real, we notify the seller:

• Payment is secured

• Item can be released safely

This prevents scammers pretending to pay.

 

5️⃣ Step 5 — Delivery or Pickup Happens

The seller hands over the item.
If the buyer needs assistance, Zanky can recommend reliable delivery services.

 

6️⃣ Step 6 — Buyer Confirms Delivery

Once the buyer receives the item, they have 24 hours to confirm everything is okay.
If there is an issue, they notify Zanky Escrow immediately.

 

7️⃣ Step 7 — Zanky Releases Payment to Seller

After confirmation, the seller is paid instantly minus the Escrow service fee:

• 2% for payments below ₦100,000

• 1% for payments ₦100,000 and above

This gives sellers financial protection and encourages serious buyers only.
